An Eisenhower matrix that plans your day for you
Every task in Jarvis carries two flags: important and urgent. The matrix shows where your tasks fall. The ranked day uses the same flags to decide what you do first, so the matrix is not a chart you look at once — it is how your day is ordered.
The four boxes, and what Jarvis does with each
The Eisenhower matrix splits work by two questions: does it matter, and is it due soon? Most to-do apps let you tag priority. Jarvis acts on it.
- Important and urgent — do now. These rank first in your day, with the reason shown ("Due today", "Overdue by 2 days").
- Important, not urgent — protect it. This is where life slips: the call to your grandparents, the fund switch, the work that grows your career. Jarvis keeps these in your plan and nudges when they go quiet.
- Urgent, not important — batch it, or note who it waits on, so it stops interrupting the important work.
- Neither — let it go.

A ranked day, with reasons
Jarvis orders your day from the two flags, due dates, your routines and any plan you made with it. Each item says why it is where it is. There is no black box: change a flag or a date and the order changes for a reason you can see.

Flags on every task, on web and iPhone
Mark a task important or urgent when you create it, or later from its card. Routines and one-time tasks both carry the flags, and each task shows its focus area, so work and life sit on one matrix without blurring together.

Questions
- What is the Eisenhower matrix?
- A way to sort tasks into four groups by two questions — is it important, and is it urgent? — popularised from a remark attributed to US President Dwight D. Eisenhower. It helps you do urgent important work first and schedule important work before it becomes urgent.
- Does Jarvis sort my tasks into the matrix automatically?
- You set the two flags on each task (it takes one tap); Jarvis then places the task in the matrix and uses the flags, along with due dates and routines, to rank your day.
- Is the Eisenhower matrix in Jarvis free?
- Yes. Tasks, flags, the matrix and the ranked day are free and do not use AI credits.
